

Square-Enix has found a way to leverage the near universal love for these soundtracks with the Theatrhythm series.

That game started my extensive love affair with the JRPG genre, but that’s a story for a different day. The point is that the soundtrack of the game stood out to me, and then I was blown away by the rest of the Final Fantasy games I played afterward.

After a bit of coercion on his part, I caved and took the game home to try out. I started with Final Fantasy X on the PS2 when a friend of mine wouldn’t stop raving over how great it was. I‘ve been playing Final Fantasy games since I was 11 years old.
